What is Life Coaching?

Life coaching is a partnership between the coach and the client and it is designed to help the client achieve goals that they have been challenged to reach on their own.  A life coach is there to cheer you on, guide you through challenges, to help make a plan for moving forward, and to help you get the most out of the work that you are putting in.  Meetings will center around building on your existing strengths and identifying those strenghts, tapping in to what your core motivations are, and practicing a lot of positive thinking.

What is a Life Coaching meeting like?

Coaching sessions can take place every week or every other week.  They can be done by phone or by Zoom.  They will be roughly around 30-45 minutes based on topics discussed.  There is a very strict confidentiality clause in the Life Coaching meetings so anything discussed will never be discussed with anyone outside of the meeting.  In the meeting we will discuss the goals that you would like to achieve and we will discuss them in trying to get as much detail and making them as specific as possible.  These goals can be anything.  We will explore why this goal is mportant to you, what a measure of success would look like for you reaching that goal and moving forward, and how things will be different for you once you reach that goal, and we will talk about what is holding you back and try to identify things that are impeding your progress and creating a plan for you to move forward and make progress on that goal.

How do I know if I could benefit from Life Coaching?

If you're thinking about entering coaching first you should recognize that a change needs to be made and you should be ready to start doing the work.  When you are ready to take action that is when you are ready to make changes and working with a coach can help you figure out what it is that you need to do to move forward.  When making these changes you are bound to go through periods of relapse and a life coach can help push you through these tough times.
